“The Old Man and the Sea” is the last major work of fiction written by Ernest Hemingway, the revered American novelist in 1951. The novel won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1953 and it was also a contributing work in the Nobel prize in literature that was awarded to Ernest Hemingway in 1954.
